Overview

The Rock is an established youth work charity (since 2010) providing daytime educational provision. The Rock is a safe, calm space with each project having its own dedicated worker(s) and areas. The Rock combines challenging activities with personal youth work support. The Rock team supports young people to grow in self-esteem, co-operate with others, live purposefully and be resilient learners. The Rock’s team includes a qualified teacher and youth workers who have a wealth of experience in effectively supporting young people to engage with education. In 2023/24, 95% of young people involved in school group work reported improved teamwork skills, 97% of primary-age participants said their ability to take on new challenges had increased. The Rock also provides open access evening youth work, which many young people we support through alternative education access.
