Overview
Key Stage 3- Our focus is on providing a relevant tutor/mentor that will build a good rapport and mentor the pupil, they will identify the needs and work with them on their social and emotional skills and to see the value of the education that we and the school is providing. Our provision will be based either in the school working to support the pupil to remain on roll, if this is not possible it will be in their home or local community venue. Our aim is a short turn-around for reintegration. The tuition will be up to 15 hours a week. We will provide a Base Line assessment to understand gaps in English and maths and support them to develop the confidence and skills to help close these gaps. All our staff hold the relevant qualifications to match the needs – for example QTS, SEN specialism or counselling qualifications. Interventions are based on Individual need. All tutors are based locally. Tutoring - Our tutoring provision is delivered by qualified teachers to support the school curriculum and/or the specific needs of a pupil.
