Overview
Under the Heads of School, the qualified teachers, trainee teachers and youth support have a good understanding of pedagogy and adapt to the learning needs of our pupils. They make every effort to ensure that standards for teaching and learning are met, and that pupils progress as they should when in their classes. They too are familiar with the needs of referring schools and prepare the relevant data each half term. The staff at the KS3/4 sites now have great success in dealing with and administrating GCSE exams. We have a 100% success rate at getting our student to GCSE awards and 94% success rate in achieving grades in 5 or more subjects. Our post 16 destinations of sustainable and long-term placements are currently 94%. Our staff have experience of contributing to multi agency meetings, having worked with many complex young people and families both with EdStart and often in their previous employment. At any given time, we have several young people who are LAC for whom their Personal Tutors are responsible for attending, facilitating and arranging various multi agency meetings as part of their job role.
