Overview

MindJam seeks to provide emotional, mental health and SEND support to children and young people through the use of gaming and game related skills. The service aims to build self-esteem and confidence, while giving children and young people a safe space to recognise their own skills and abilities, to talk about their anxieties and to identify their worries and goals. Through online one-to-one sessions, MindJam provides mentorship and guidance in a positive and non-judgemental space. Children and young people can use the service for as long as is required. MindJam can support learners from a range of backgrounds, including children and young people with support needs in Tiers 1 to 4. All mentors are experienced and trained in supporting neurodivergent individuals including young people with Autism, as well as other additional needs such as ADHD, anxiety, stress and trauma.
