Overview
Gecko Community offers teaching, mentoring and therapeutic projects for neurodivergent children and young people. They support children and young people aged between 5 and 25 who have Autism or ADHD, those experiencing anxiety or mental ill-health, those at risk of exclusion and those experiencing bulling and trauma. Children and young people can attend the service for as long as they need with many attending while they’re out of school, while they wait for a placement or as a part of their EOTAS package. Individuals can be referred into the service by their families, by their school or by the Local Authority. All of the sessions are one-to-one and online. They are delivered in a range of ways to match the interests and needs of the individual. Each session lasts for up to 50-60 minutes.
