Overview

I am an independent education consultant specialising in working with young people with special needs and their families. I am able to work one to one with young people on aspects of their education, safeguarding and emotional welfare and am also able to support parents in navigating education for their child. I have been working in education for over 20 years and qualified as a Special Education Needs Education Coordinator (SENCO) in 2019. As part of this role, I gained expert knowledge in the Education, Health, Care Plan (EHCP) system and how to support parents in ensuring their child receives the best education provision possible. I was the Designated Safeguarding Lead and Assistant Head at a special school for more than 10 years before becoming an independent consultant. I work with families whose children are Educated Other Than At School (EOTAS) to advise and support them on aspect
